FAQ

How does the booking process work?

You search dates and pick-up location, compare offers from local suppliers, and reserve. An advance payment secures the rate; the voucher in your inbox lists the exact supplier, their desk location, and what to bring. The rest of the amount and any extras are settled directly at the counter when you collect the keys.

What documents do I need at pick-up?

Passport, visit visa or residence permit, home-country driving licence, and International Driving Permit if your licence is not in English or Arabic. Tourists from certain GCC states may use their national licence alone; check the voucher. A credit card in the driver's name is usually required for the deposit hold. Some suppliers accept debit cards but terms vary.

What are the minimum age and driving experience requirements?

Most suppliers set the minimum at twenty-one years old with one year of licence history. Luxury and larger categories often require twenty-five and two or three years. Young-driver surcharges may apply. Each operator enforces its own policy, and the voucher will state the precise rule for your booking.

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

It depends on the rate conditions. Many bookings allow free cancellation up to a certain number of hours before pick-up; others carry a fee or are non-refundable. The voucher spells out the deadline and any charges. To amend dates or times, contact us at [email protected] or call +971 4 875 6203, and we will check availability with the supplier.

What is the fuel policy?

Full-to-full is standard: you receive a full tank and return it full. ENOC and ADNOC stations are widespread and competitive. Some airport desks offer pre-purchase fuel options, but buying as you go usually works out simpler and cheaper. Keep the last receipt in case the attendant wants proof.

Can I drive to Oman or other emirates?

Travel within the UAE is unrestricted. Crossing into Oman requires written permission and often an additional insurance rider arranged at the counter. The Musandam exclave is popular; make sure the voucher or rental agreement explicitly permits exit. Saudi crossings are typically not allowed on standard contracts.

How do Salik tolls work?

Toll gates on Sheikh Zayed Road and other main routes register the vehicle automatically. The supplier bills you afterward for each passage plus a small admin fee per transaction. No need to stop or carry cash; the tag in the windscreen handles everything. Your final invoice will itemize the tolls.

What if I return the vehicle late?

Grace periods vary by supplier - some allow an hour, others none. Beyond that, expect a late fee or an extra day's charge. If you know you will be delayed, call the desk number on your voucher as soon as possible. Many will extend the contract for a prorated amount if you arrange it in advance rather than surprising them at closing time.

Where can I find more help?

Our contact page lists phone and email. Office hours are Monday to Sunday, 8:00 to 21:00 GST. For questions about a specific supplier's desk or a detail in your voucher, reach out and we will liaise on your behalf.
